For those wanting deeper learning, Premium and VIP memberships provide access to structured education, CPD-informed courses, professional resources, and live learning sessions. DAfree brings together survivors, allies, and professionals in a thoughtfully moderated space. Participation is always optional, with no expectation to share personal experiences. I joined DAfree because I wanted to understand more about what abuse can look like in everyday life. I thought I knew the basics, but this community opened my eyes to things I hadn’t really considered, like how control can happen without shouting or hitting. It’s quiet, respectful, and there’s no pressure to talk about your own experiences. You can just read and learn at your own pace. Awareness is indeed the first step, and the more AWARER we become, the more we can spot the signs and help those affected by domestic abuse.

A place that has helped me learn the signs of abuse and how to intervene!

This community is a safe haven for anyone experiencing abuse ~ whether it's physical, emotional, verbal, or financial abuse in the present or past. It's an inclusive place for all people to learn what to watch for and how they can help others. Being aware is key to stopping the cycle of abuse, and the DAfree community is the place to learn and share! As a nurse, I value the conversations in this community. I have learned a lot from DAfree!!

A compassionate, prevention‑focused community making a real impact

Serena DAfree has created one of the most thoughtful and educational spaces I’ve seen raising awareness about domestic abuse. Serena has created a community that prioritises prevention, early recognition of red flags, and healthier relationships — all delivered with clarity, safety, and integrity. The free membership makes essential education accessible to everyone, while the Premium and VIP tiers offer structured, CPD‑informed learning for those who want to go deeper. The environment is well‑moderated, pressure‑free, and welcoming to survivors, allies, and professionals alike. What stands out most is the transparency and purpose: DAfree is not a crisis service, and every dollar goes back into awareness, education, and prevention programmes. A truly meaningful initiative for anyone who believes in informed choices, safer relationships, and breaking the cycle of abuse.

More Than Just Awareness

Abuse happens in lots of different ways - often people experience abuse but brush it off as "normal" or think that they are too "insert that thing" so they aren't in the "abusable group". This community is very inclusive and fantastic about bringing awareness to how abuse shows up in our lives in a way that doesn't make victims but empowers us to make informed choices about how we show up.

Thank you so much, Jill. I really appreciate your thoughtful feedback and am glad the community feels empowering and inclusive. Indeed, DAfree is all-inclusive and welcomes everyone who cares to build a better future. From UNAWARER to AWARER to break the cycle of abuse and the normalisation of wrong norms. Thank you for being part of it and for your ongoing support.

The best community

this is genuinely one of the best communities I’ve joined on skool. Everyone is super active and supportive. The communities all about spreading awareness around domestic abuse a subject which is not talked by enough and through being an active member in this community I’ve been able to learn more about domestic abuse and how it impacts everyone around us. I would recommend this for anyone looking to learn more about how domestic abuse affects them at first I was reluctant to join because I thought it was all about victims of DA but in reality it’s more so about spreading awareness about domestic abuse to prevent it proactively.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Your perspective reinforces how valuable awareness is for all of us, whether we’ve been directly affected or simply want to be part of the solution.
