Social Selling with Sam

I was on LinkedIn posting and connecting, but with no real strategy. Growing my connections was about numbers. I didn't understand the tools, and honestly, I wasn't thinking about LinkedIn as a place to give value, just to get visibility. Sam shifted that completely. She helped me see LinkedIn the way you'd approach a live networking event: show up to serve, be intentional, and build real relationships. That means being strategic about how I post, who I connect with, and how I use tools like newsletters, not to dump my thoughts, but to invite people into something meaningful. In one strategy session, we built a list of 300 prospects using Sales Navigator. She tightened up my profile and company page, and we talked about how LinkedIn content interacts with AI tools, something most people haven't even considered yet. She sees the full picture. And she helped me see it too. Join the community for the people, the supportive atmosphere, and mostly, Sam.

What Sam doesn’t know about LinkedIn simply isn’t worth knowing. Since meeting Sam back in July 2025, my whole outlook on the platform has changed, and now I am benefiting from everything she has taught me. I listen, I have implemented her advice, and now I am seeing a return in monetary value. A superstar, legend, all-round wizard!

Sam knowledge is INSANE! What Sam doesn’t know about LinkedIn, isn’t worth knowing. Because she is a subject matter expert and hanging out with engineers is evident in her knowledge. Sam comes from a place of willingness and desire to help others which is refreshing so there’s never a sale to be pushed. Her SKOOL community is great to be in and is a must.

Networking isn't about collecting connections. It's about understanding complex human dynamics and knowing which parts of yourself to lead with so your people recognize you in the noise. It's efficiency without losing humanity. Strategy without performance. Broadcasting signal instead of shouting into the void. How do you build real relationships when half the internet is automated and the other half is performing? Sam knows. And she doesn't gatekeep it. As a Hypnotherapist. Pattern decoder. So from my POV, Sam understands the rhythm of human connection and how to grow your influence, presence, alliances and world without any collapse or needing to put in hours a day you might not have. I'm here because I accidentally activated something in my work and want to understand the architecture behind it. Sam's way of accepting me and some of my more outlandish ideas and experimenting has endeared her to me for life. The magic of her connection is that she truly sees you for who you are and genuinely wants to help you get what you want from your social media/community building/professional expansion of any kind. Even more than a review of Social Selling Squad, this is a review for Sam Rathling, where the Social Selling Squad is currently the best place you can get access to her (so this fits for me perfectly). If you EVER have the opportunity to book a call with her in the community, it's worth it. Before this, I'd been active on Skool and learning all about high-ticket consulting models taught by the main mentors I'd studied, Andrew Kirby (community lead at Skool), Alex Hormozi ($100M Offers), and Sam Ovens (former owner of Consulting.com and founder of Skool.com) — years before they all started working on Skool.com together. As soon as Sam met me she recognized, I knew my stuff and was more than ready to "break out" and offer people massive value who were dying for my help, but there was this massive gap I'd yet to overcome. Until I met Sam, I had these MAJOR bottlenecks!! Due to health issues at the time, so I never had the time to build things like content, websites, and major social media presence... which content in the community ALSO helps with. And Sam Ovens would say, if you want to know what the market needs, ASK THEM. But I never really understood *HOW* to make that process natural, and flow easily. Sam showed me how easy, fun, and natural it can be... and how it can do it easily. Since meeting Sam, after just a few short weeks of some of my most fun and social professional networking experiences, I ended up getting super busy super fast working on dream projects I've been incredibly excited about since even day 1. And my problem changed. JUST learning about social selling basics (which doesn't even touch on all of the content she knows how to do on LinkedIn®, much of which can be applied to Skool or any other platform...) changed my biggest problem from: Before - not enough opportunity To After - getting too busy doing EXACTLY the kind of work I SHOULD be doing, practically overnight. I'd definitely have to call Sam Rathling my 4th GREAT teacher / mentor, and in so many respects bump her to the top of the list, and I've barely scratched the surface in terms of what she can offer when it comes to corporate and enterprise selling or the LinkedIn® world. This massive shift has taken the concept of outreach and connecting with others or promoting myself from feeling "Salesy" to "Effortless, Automatic, Fun, and Exciting!" (with just what I feel like comes from roughly just 1-3% of the powerful knowledge she has available). And it's not just "vibes." It's also strategic awareness. And for me, it seemed so obvious once I began to understand it. It was like the missing piece of the puzzle that just made everything click in place for me. My only concern is right now is that I'm so busy working on my ideal projects (and could easily have found more, knowing what I knew now, if I wanted to choose something different)... that I don't have time for more social outreach & networking opportunities that feel so amazingly high-leverage, fun, enjoyable, and profitable. _________ And because I've been less of a "LinkedIn®" guy myself thus far (I have had a much more established presence and experience with the Skool platform since joining in 2021, and how to bring as well as find business there through my own network & connections)... I'll add what I've seen from others in the community who have used LinkedIn® so you can get some value from this post. I've noticed the people who GET the wins from Sam are those who actually study the content she has in the classroom, post their content, join the calls, and actually take Sam's advice from the powerful education she has to offer. So whether you just want to learn about social selling in general... Or whether you'd like to build an audience on LinkedIn® (or apply the same principles to any other platform)... Consume the content. (It's working for those who apply it.) Listen to Sam. (That's all I needed!) And also, I used to get kind of intimidated by people with a lot of success in business. That might or might not sound silly to you. And if that's an issue, you have nothing to worry about. Sam is super down-to-earth and super chill. And as for me, I'm just stoked it's taken the entire concept of business from feeling challenging, to feeling super natural and easy. So I just want to give back, and keep having fun!
