My name is Darlene Brown. I was raised with a rich culinary heritage. My dad was in the Navy and loved food. He’d bring back recipes from around the world. He loved the cooking shows on PBS when I was growing up. Cookbooks were his jam as well. Mom was an excellent home cook. She was the quintessential gramma, wholesome down-home cooking was her thing. I inherited all of that food love. For YEARS my friends have been after me to open some sort of food related business. So, I am now. Enjoy!

I love connecting with people and there is no better way than with food, from sharing tips, receiving recipes to learning about the ingredients. And that is why I'm enjoying this community.
Love how all the basics are there in one place: substitutions, cookware, terminology etc.
