This community is amazing!
This community is amazing! About 6 months ago, I discovered the pleasure of bread making. I have actively been looking on youtube for example and recipes from which were really good and other disappointing. And then, 2 weeks ago, I discovered Henry Hunter on youtube and I immediately good hooked in this community. The content in the classroom is invaluable and explain in a simple way the bread making process. And what about this community !!! Extremely positive, encouraging and helpful! I have progressed more in 2 weeks that I did in the last year! Coming home after a workday, I just think about baking a new bread and the saturday bake along challenge! Perfection not required! Progress is!😀

I got into sourdough later in life, and one thing I’ve learned is that where you learn matters just as much as what you learn. What I appreciate about Crust & Crumb Academy is that it’s not just people posting pictures of bread… it’s people trying to understand the process. There’s a real focus on why things work, not just what to do next. You can feel that in the conversations. People are helping each other think, not just follow instructions. That kind of environment makes a big difference, especially for beginners. It reminds me a lot of how I approach teaching… simplify things, focus on the fundamentals, and let the dough do the talking. If you’re serious about improving, it’s a good place to spend your time.
