My camera won't turn on for a video review

Quick guide to re-enabling camera and mic permissions on iPhone Safari and Android Chrome when ProveWorth can't access them.

If ProveWorth says you blocked the camera, here's how to fix it in like 30 seconds. Real talk, this happens because your phone or browser remembered an old "no" and won't ask again.

On iPhone Safari

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Safari.
  3. Tap Camera and set it to Ask or Allow.
  4. Tap Microphone and do the same.
  5. Come back to the recorder page and tap Try again.

On Android Chrome

  1. On the recorder page, tap the lock icon (or info icon) in the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions.
  3. Reset both Camera and Microphone.
  4. Reload the page and tap Try again.

Still stuck?

Hit reply on any ProveWorth email and we'll dig in. Mention your phone model and browser so we can sort it fast.
