We do general and family dentistry, which mostly means cleanings, fillings, crowns and the occasional Friday emergency. We see kids from about age three and take most Texas PPO plans. What something costs goes in writing first.

Q: Do you take my insurance?▾

We are in network with most Texas PPO plans. Ring with your plan name and we will check the network while you are on the phone, so you know before you book.

Q: What does a cleaning cost without insurance?▾

$149 for the cleaning, exam and x-rays for a new patient. That number has been the same since 2023.

Q: How far ahead do I need to book?▾

A routine cleaning is about three weeks out. An emergency is usually same day if you ring in the morning.

Q: Do you see children?▾

From about three years old.

Q: Is there anything you refer out?▾

Orthodontics goes to a specialist two blocks away and we will make the introduction. We do not do sedation, so for that we send people to a practice in Georgetown that does.

Chipped a molar on a Friday

I chipped a molar biting down on something at lunch on a Friday and rang expecting to be told Monday. They had me in at 4:30 that afternoon. Dr. Whitfield put the x-ray up on the screen and walked me through what the crown would cost before touching anything, then milled it in the office so I did not have to come back for a second fitting. Six years I have been coming here and that was the first time I needed anything urgent, which I suppose says as much about my teeth as about them.

Good dentistry, bad at running to time

No complaints about the actual dentistry, the work has always been solid. It is the scheduling that gets me. Twice now I have had a 9am slot and not been in the chair until nearly 9:40, and nobody at the desk said a word either time. If it is running late just tell me and I will go and get a coffee.

Anne, you are right about the 9am slot. We had been putting two people into the first appointment to cover no-shows and it was pushing the whole morning back. Stopped that on 1 March. If it happens again grab me at the desk, do not wait for the review.

First filling at seven and no tears

My son had his first filling here at seven. I had already decided it was going to be a disaster and had a bribe lined up in the car. They named every tool for him before it went near his mouth and let him hold the little mirror. Forty minutes and we were out. The bribe went unused, which he has not forgiven me for.

They checked my plan before booking

Rang with my plan details and the front desk checked the network there and then, before booking me in rather than after the appointment. The cleaning came to the $149 they had quoted on the phone.

Parking is the only gripe

Four years and no complaints about the dentistry. The car park is shared with the physio next door and at 8am there is nowhere to leave a car. I have ended up on the road twice and walked round from Chisholm Trail.
