Written by the community owners
Written Identity exists to help overthinkers, feelers, and high-functioning humans reconnect with their own voice without fixing, performing, or pretending. Inside The Village, members learn the Write Ugly Method™. A grounded, repeatable, no-BS writing practice that rebuilds clarity, self-trust, and emotional honesty. This isn’t journaling for aesthetics or self-help theater. It’s practical writing that supports real life. Through simple daily practices and optional community connection, members rebuild a relationship with writing that strengthens communication, decision-making, leadership, and creative work across life, relationships, and business. This is The Village. A place to think clearly, write honestly, and stop doing this alone.
CLARITY OVER CHAOS: We slow down to see what’s actually true instead of reacting, spiraling, or performing understanding.
HONESTY OVER POLISH: We write what’s real, not what sounds good. Truth matters more than presentation.
NO BS: Anti Toxic Positivity , no spiritual bypassing, no self-help theater. Practical clarity only.
PRESENCE OVER PRESSURE: Two honest minutes count. Consistency beats intensity every time.
SELF-TRUST OVER SELF-CORRECTION: We don’t write to fix ourselves. We write to hear ourselves.
STRUCTURE WITH SOUL: Frameworks exist to support life, not control it.
THE VILLAGE: You don’t have to do this alone. Connection is available, never demanded.

Saves ~3 hours per week vs. going solo
That's 13.0 hrs per month — worth about $650 of your time
Written Identity is free to join. At 3 hours per week, you're investing about 13.0 hrs per month of your time (worth roughly $650 at your rate). Compared to searching for the same answers on your own (6 hrs/wk), the community saves you about 3 hours each week by putting everything in one place.
Skool may call this a community, but what we’ve built here is The Village. This is a safe, supportive, human space where you can show up as you are and be met with care and respect. Support here is steady and grounded, never loud or invasive. The Village is loving and easy-going, not intense or performative. You’re encouraged to explore your thoughts, creativity, and truth without pressure to be polished or impressive. People often share their experiences, thoughts, and writing, and engage with daily or weekly writing prompts and reflective content. You’re welcome to participate actively, respond to others, or engage quietly with what resonates. Sharing is optional, but always valued. Creativity is encouraged in all forms. Messy ideas and unfinished thoughts belong here. This is a space for experimentation, expression, and growth without judgment. The vibe is relaxed and lighthearted, with room for humor, warmth, and fun. Deep conversations and mindset shifts happen naturally alongside casual check-ins, laughter, and everyday moments. This is The Village. A place for real connection, real growth, and real life, held with clarity, kindness, and ease.

I created Written Identity after realizing how many capable, emotionally intelligent people were silently drowning while “looking fine.” I was one of them. Writing became the way I slowed my mind, told the truth, and rebuilt trust with myself without fixing or performing. This Village exists so no one has to do that work alone. It’s honest, supportive, no-BS, and rooted in real life.

Such an Empowering Space!
The Village Becomes Your Home
Warm inviting no BS space
I love the space and the author. I’m finding great value and inspiration here with likeminded folk. All is warm, hilarious, and a great resource of information and wisdom. I feel seen, validated and supported.

The Village Becomes Your Home
What I love about Written Identity, or "the village" as it is lovingly referred to, is that the founder, Alli, genuinely cares about the people in this group. She isn't looking to grow the village just so she can profit; it's about connection, the writing journey, and being able to express your feelings, no matter how ugly they may feel in the moment. The village is also special because of the amount of support. There is no competition here; only love and cheerleading. Anyone looking to rebuild from a place of sadness, depression or complete devastation will find "Written Identity" a safe place to land and start over. Zero Burnout, zero nervous system overloads here. But having said that, you don't HAVE to be sad/mad/burned out to benefit from the village. Literally anyone who just wants to write but might need prompting or reminders or someone to say "your voice is valid" will also love Written Identity. You can come as you are, and we will love the entirety of you in the village :)
